It’s almost conference time! Why should you plan on attending this weekend’s MPE Homeschool Conference and Curriculum Fair?
Registration shows that 50 percent of the MPE members take advantage of the conference annually. This is the most significant benefit MPE offers members.
I believe you would be doing yourself and your family a big favor by attending this year and here are some reasons why.
- We have an outstanding lineup of speakers and workshops.
Check our speakers here and our workshop schedule here to see what’s being offered. We want to minister to moms and dads. We have practical, inspirational, humorous and vendor workshops, all designed to meet your needs.
- The transparency of our speakers will encourage you.
You will learn you don’t need to be superman or supermom to homeschool. You will hear celebrations of victory as well as personal battles and shortcomings. You will be encouraged by the honesty displayed.
- There will be around 1,200 families attending.
You might connect with someone you recognize, but don’t know. There are great networking opportunities that can lead to encouraging, refreshing relationships.
- Get some tips and techniques that may boost your productivity.
Where is the workshop that will help me organize?
- All of our featured speakers will be available to you at their booths.
Feel free to follow up for personal questions.
- We have a children’s conference run by MPE graduates and students.
One person described it as Vacation Bible School on steroids. The kids worship, do crafts, have devotions, conquer obstacle courses, and play games.
- Surveys suggest that families who attend homeschool conferences tend to continue educating their children at home.
I believe it is due to their renewed vision, encouragement, and fellowship that keeps families on track for another year.
- Your attendance allows us to truthfully report our numbers to the vendors.
We are sold out this year, and their participation helps fund the conference. Vendors won’t continue to attend if we don’t have homeschool families attending and shopping.
This year’s theme is, “Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you…” (Acts 3:19-20).
If you have been feeling like a failure or that you might want to quit, remember that the Lord wants to wipe away our sins and burdens so times of refreshing might come for you.
Do you want to be refreshed? It comes from the presence of the Lord. Our turning from self-reliance and trusting in God will signal our repentance and find a divine appointment: Jesus will meet you.
Please join us at the KCI Expo Center on April 7 and 8. We need your support. Thanks.
